The Method™
Vancouver Pilates Teacher Training and
Certification Programs

The Space Vancouver is a Certifying Studio for Physicalmind Institute Canada.

We offer courses & certification programs for both Pilates Matwork and Reformer in The Method™ style, the original exercises of Joseph Pilates. The Physicalmind Institute has been successfully training Pilates Teachers worldwide for 17 years.

These training courses are logical, interactive and experiential.  They teach a practical approach to the practice of pilates.   Fundamentals and exercises are broken down and taught in detail while at the same time encouraging students to be intuitive within their own body.

The concepts of core stabilization and its role in preventing injury is a critical aspect of preventative health, we also encourage a wide range of practitioners to take these courses including fitness trainers, yoga teachers, practitioners of the healing arts and for pilates students who want more depth.

Student Testimonial

“The Mat Initiation 101 and Initiation 201 was a great way to reconnect with the fundamentals behind the Pilates Method. The classes were taught in a gorgeous studio in Yaletown.

Marta is very clear, approachable and fun. Her teaching style adapted for every person in the class and it was easy to follow her demonstrations of movement.

There was a lot of emphasis on understanding the benefits of each pilates exercise throughout the body, which exercises would be suitable for which people, how to identify proper posturing. As well, all the exercises were broken down into minute detail, including variations and modifications.

Anyone thinking about exploring teaching pilates should take these classes. It’s an excellent way to learn and is definitely worth it!”
